This is the right step in the right direction, construction of storage facilities will prevent wastage of the farm produce, it will help in price regulation by controlling surplus of farm produce which come as a result of higher supply than demand of the produce associated with maize harvesting period. It will also help to increase the standard of living of the smallholder farmers as a result of income they realize from the sale and this encourage the youths and the old to go into the cultivation of food crop as a result of good profit margin that will be realise at the end of farming season.
